This timber framed palm house restoration and garden landscaping at a historic country house in Dedham, Essex, won the 2014 Association of Professional Landscapers Award for Special Features.
Roger Gladwell Landscapes undertook the refurbishment of an existing 1900s palm house set in the grounds of a large stately house which was in a desperate state of decline. The house has been restored to its original glory as a wonderful space for entertaining, music and photographic and short film backdrops.
Associaton of Professional Landscapers Judges commented that “The 1900’s Palm House was in a dire state of disrepair and has been carefully and beautifully refurbished, maintaining the original character. A vast improvement, restoring its original glory.”
